Judy Estes, Administrative Assistant

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”

My name is Judy Estes. I have lived in Norman for the last 15 years with my husband Russell Estes. I am the office administrative assistant at Terra Verde Discovery School. Four years ago I left the corporate office setting to find myself falling in love with my dream job. I have spent my adult life raising nine children, teaching and volunteering at many children’s programs in Oklahoma. I have been a girl scout leader, cub scout leader, a recreational basketball coach and a child advocate for children who have lived in difficult circumstances. There has never been a dull moment in my life.

No matter how old, or how busy we are, it is always important to be reminded that our actions will impact our children. A parent can give their child what they themselves have. A child will take to heart what their parents take to heart. For a child to be virtuous, the parents must be virtuous before them. Showing children love is the greatest gift one can offer. It is an honor to work in a place that gives children the gift of childhood and the opportunity to dream.
